Frequently Asked Questions
What is a VPN?
A VPN is short for a Virtual Private Network. We created our VPN service with user privacy and security in mind. To fulfill our goal, we encrypt every bit of data you route through our servers.
How does FullVPN work?
Although FullVPN acts as an intermediary between end-users and an Internet connection, you will not notice much difference between a VPN-enhanced and normal connection. You can exchange data with private and shared networks as if they were an integral part of the FullVPN network. At the same time, while you are using FullVPN, you get a different IP address along with encryption for your traffic. This means improved security, functionality, and privacy protection.
Can I use FullVPN for torrenting?
Unlike enhancing online security, torrent downloads are not the primary goal of FullVPN. In certain cases, you may experience slowdowns while P2P filesharing with an active FullVPN connection. At the same time, we allow you to use the following servers for legal torrenting activities: US-California 1, Canada-Ontario, Romania, Luxembourg, and France.
Can I use FullVPN instead of my current ISP?
Unfortunately, VPNs are not able to generate an Internet connection on their own. Therefore, you need to get an Internet connection from your Internet Service Provider via cable, satellite, 3G, 4G, wireless hotspots, etc. before you can use FullVPN.
What is the difference between a Proxy, SmartDNS, and a VPN service?
Basically, a VPN is a more secure and versatile version of a proxy. To make a proxy work, you might need to manually configure a connection since not every app is compatible with proxies. When it comes to VPNs, you don’t have to do much after installing a VPN client on your device.
Will FullVPN slow down my system or internet connection?
FullVPN does not degrade your device’s performance or Internet connection speeds on purpose. Regardless of whether you are a trial user or have a premium subscription, we provide you with the best speeds we can. At the same time, the load on specific servers and the distance between you and the selected server location may slow down your Internet connection.
Can I improve my connection speeds with a VPN?
Sometimes, ISPs use throttling to slow down data-consuming online activities. If this is the case, FullVPN can improve your connection speed.
How many servers do you have?
We offer more than 400 servers spread across 80 worldwide locations. You can see all the current servers and their placement via our apps or at this link https://www.fullvpn.com/servers/. We are continuously working on adding more servers to our network.
Is FullVPN available in China?
We work hard to provide you with the best service regardless of the country you are from. At the same time, the Chinese government implements certain limitations that affect our functionality. Currently, Chinese subscribers can use our servers in 6 regions: Hong Kong, the USA, the United Kingdom, Singapore, India, and Germany. To provide a more stable connection, our software will automatically select the optimal VPN protocol.
Can I watch US Netflix, BBC iPlayer, and other streaming services abroad with FullVPN?
Yes, all our users, regardless of their location, can watch US Netflix, BBC iPlayer, HBO Now, ESPN, Hulu, ITV, Rai.tv, Sony Crackle, Popcornflix, Hotstar, Disney+, and other streaming services. You just need to select a server in the appropriate country and FullVPN will do whatever it takes to circumvent geo-restrictions.
Does FullVPN secure Mail, FTP, and other protocols?
If you enable a VPN on your computer, phone, etc., it will automatically provide protection for all applications using an Internet connection on your device.
Why did I receive Google’s “Suspicious sign in prevented” notification?
When you connect to a VPN, it redirects your traffic through an intermediate server, which changes your geolocation and IP address. Once in a while, Google checks your online location and if significant changes have occurred, it may send you a notification of suspicious activity. Learn more about it at https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/1144110?hl=en&ref_topic=2401957.
Why is my virtual IP address from a different country than the one I chose?
This can happen because IP lookup service such as WhatIsMyIP, MyIP, and others rarely update their databases. Because they use outdated information, they may show that certain IP addresses belong to a different country than the one you selected.
Do you keep the connection logs?
FullVPN’s Privacy Policy specifies that we do not monitor, store, or log data concerning your online activities. This means that browser history, metadata, connection and disconnection times, session duration, downloaded files, viewed web pages, and servers you used remain unknown for FullVPN. You can see all the categories of personal data that we process in Section 2 of this Privacy Policy.
Also, according to Section 7 of this Privacy Policy, we do not collect or record information regarding your IP address for a period longer than the duration of a VPN session. As soon as you terminate a connection, all information is automatically deleted.

This issue is common for OpenVPN protocol, which we use within FullVPN applications. To solve it, open Network Center and OpenVPN should launch automatically. Here is what you need to do exactly:

Many VPN clients use the OpenVPN protocol and drivers to ensure their operation. This means that you can’t use two VPN apps at the same time. You will need to log out from one application before you can launch another.
If you decide to uninstall an application from another provider, it may accidentaly delete OpenVPN protocol files necessary for FullVPN to operate correctly. If our application stops working, just reinstall it.
